Products

As a GAF/Elk Factory Certified Master Elite Roofing Contractor we are dedicated to delivering exceptional service and the highest quality of products to our clients.

In addition to the full line of architectural composition products offered by GAF/Elk, we have access to the products offered by all the major manufacturers such as CertainTeed, Owens-Corning and Malarkey.   Century Roofing also offers the full line of metal roofing systems by ASC Building Products, Nu-Ray Metals and Champion Metals of Washington.  As a solution for clients with low-slope roofs, Century Roofing installs PVC, TPO and torchdown systems.

The roots of Century Roofing trace back to A & B Roofing and cedar shake manufacturing in the 1880’s via Butter’s Mill.  To this day, cedar shake roofing remains a large part of our business, and yes, contrary to popular belief,  you can still get good, thick, old growth shakes!

We also install skylights that are manufactured both locally (CrystaLite Inc, and KDL Enterprises) and globally (Velux International).

While Century Roofing has developed an excellent relationship with several local materials suppliers, we operate our own delivery trucks and provide our own container service, eliminating the threat of costly liens that could be placed on your home and giving us the ability to coordinate all aspects of the job without relying on outside sources.

Composite Roofs.

Asphalt composition shingles are a practical choice for many homeowners due to their durability, a wide variety of style and color choices, and the ease with which these roofs can be maintained.  While most manufacturers of asphalt composition offer similar materials defects warranties, it is the unique alliance between a roofing contractor and an individual manufacturer that will dictate the depth and actual items covered by the warranty provided.  Below are many of the products we install.

Shake Roofs

With our history as a cedar shake and shingle mill, we know fine wood roofing products.  Our project consultants have been trained by some of the most knowledgeable cedar shake and shingle people in the Northwest and Canada, giving them the education needed when helping you select the proper cedar choice for your roof.  The most commonly used cedar shakes have a thickness of ¾” at the butt and are 24” in length.  Also available are ½” and 7/8” cedar shakes as well an assortment of cedar shingles.

While all cedar products start out and can be installed raw, the industry standard of installing CCA pressure-treated shakes and shingles stems from the simple request by our clients that their wood roofs last longer.  Fire-treated shakes are also available, however, the nitrates used in the treatment process tend to act as fertilizer for our already difficult to control algae and moss problems.  Choosing the right cedar shake or shingle, and a qualified installer will make all the difference in how long a cedar shake roof will last and for how long it will look like the day it was installed.

Metal Roofs.

For homeowners living in the Pacific Northwest, metal roofing is becoming more and more of a popular choice as well as a smart one. There are many appealing features to a metal roof system, not the least of which is the Energy-Star Rating.  Most homeowners are able to take advantage of the growing tax credits offered by the Federal Government as an incentive for improving  the energy efficiency of their homes.  Metal also carries a Class “A” fire rating, can be made from recycled materials and has a true life expectancy upwards of 40 years.
